This past weekend, the IBMA awards and showcase took over Nashville, TN. Artists and groups from all over the world traveled to The Historic Ryman Auditorium to join in a celebration of the best that bluegrass has to offer. This year, Mountain Home Recording Artists, Balsam Range was chosen as the winner of 2011 Song Of The Year!

Marc Pruett and his V35 Maple at the 2011 IBMA Fanfest
Pictured here is our good friend and endorsing artist Marc Pruett picking up his Maple Vintage 35 from Murrell Thixton with Sullivan Banjo Company. Marc put his new banjo right to work that Friday afternoon when Balsam Range hit the stage at the IBMA giving the audience a smoking hot performance.

Sullivan Banjo “Prototype 2″ Delivered First Quality Music
Sullivan Banjo has sent one of the last remaining prototypes of the Vintage 35 to First Quality Music to be sold off. This banjo has an old growth wood rim and the new Vintage 35 tone ring. The neck and resonator are mahogany, and the resonator has concentric rings. It has the standard Vintage 35 inlay pattern in a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard.
